- The new HFN Music sub-label will release a 20-track digital album in celebration of the city's house scene.
Hafendisko will release a compilation featuring Hamburg's long-standing and emerging artists next month.
The album will be the first in the series of Hamburg Elektronisch compilations on the label Hafendisko, celebrating the contribution that Germany's second largest city makes to the contemporary electronic music scene. Future volumes will explore different genres found in the harbour-side melting pot. Von House Zu House Vol. 01, the first volume, will be a download only album, and the second release on the nascent subsidiary of 2009 born HFN Music, who have released the likes of Trentemoller and Kasper Bjorke.
The compilation will feature celebrated home-grown artists such as veterans DJ Koze and Extrawelt and in demand house/disco producer Tensnake, alongside up-and-coming artists—the collection features exclusive tracks from Wareika, Soukie & Windish and Kruse & Nurnberg. The inter-connected nature of the city's scene is reflected in the album which pays homage to the so-called epicentres of the scene--the record store Smallville and techno club Ego.
