- The influential New York house label will mark its 20th anniversary by re-releasing some of its best-known tunes.
New York label Henry Street Music will embark on a series of vinyl resissues, kicking off in March.
Formed in 1994, the Brooklyn label was one of the key exponents of New York deep house in the '90s, putting out records from the likes of Todd Terry, Kenny Dope and Armand Van Helden. The reissues, which are being distributed by Clone Records, will feature some of the label's well-known cuts. First up is a 12-inch from JohNick, AKA label founder Johnny D. and Nicky P. (You can listen to snippets of the two cuts, "Play The World" and "Good Time," via the SoundCloud player below.) That will be followed by two DJ Sneak tracks taken from the 1995 Polyester EPs. Both "Show Me The Way" and "Feels Good" will come backed by JohNick edits. Snippets of that one are also up on Clone's SoundCloud page.
