- The Canadian producer will release his second album in November.
Ryan Hemsworth will drop a new LP on November 4th.
Alone For The First Time comes at a busy time for the Canadian beatmaker. Not only is it landing just a year after his debut album, Guilt Trips, but also amidst a hectic world touring schedule and the release of a new compilation from the free-to-download digital label Secret Songs that he launched this past spring.
You might already know Alone For The First Time's first single, "Snow In Newark," which had hints of emo-inflected indie rock. Apparently that's the theme on the new LP, with Hemsworth claiming that he's "fighting with expectations and conventional formulas" in a press release, adding "'Snow In Newark' and the rest of this album are [his] personal reactions to the current state of electronic and rock music."
In addition to vocals from Dawn Golden on that first single, the record also features appearances from New Zealand's Lontalius, trance-baiting entity Doss, Little Cloud and others. Like Guilt Trips, it'll see release on Canadian label Last Gang Records. Check out the new video for "Snow In Newark"—a sequel of sorts to "One For Me"—here.
