- The ten-track Études will arrive in mid-July.
Bristol experimental label Subtext Recordings has revealed details for its next release, Yair Elazar Glotman's Études LP.
Glotman is a classically trained contrabass player, composer and sound designer whose work focuses on electro-acoustic music production. You might know him as KETEV, a project that yielded a couple tapes of abstract techno on Opal Tapes and Where To Now?
Last year also saw Glotman put out his first album under his own name, Northern Gulfs, on Glacial Recordings, and he made his first appearance on Subtext with the collaborative Nimbes EP, produced alongside James Ginzburg (of Emptyset).
Études, his next solo LP, is described in a press release as an exploration, beyond classical convention and outside the instrument's natural sonic range, of "the hidden resonances of the contrabass." It'll be available on vinyl and digital formats.
