- The LP, out on Brownswood Recordings in June, is inspired by the music of Peru.
Mala will release his second album, Mirrors, via Brownswood Recordings in June.
The LP is inspired by Mala's trips to Peru and features a number of domestic musicians: Colectivo Palenke, Danitse, Asociacion Juvenil Puno and Sylvia Falcón. It's a follow-up to Mala In Cuba, which he recorded with artists in Havana throughout 2012. The dubstep don also just wrapped up a ten-year anniversary tour of North America for his label Deep Medi Musik.
You can watch a trailer for Mirrors below, which shows one of Mala'a collaborators recording drums and percussion in the studio. The label also shared its first single, "Kotos," featuring Asociacion Juvenil Puno. Listen to that one via Bandcamp.
