- The producer will release a new album on Ghostly International in September.
Lusine, AKA Jeff McIlwain, will return this fall to Ghostly International for his first full-length in four years for the imprint.
After a quick stop over on Hymen for 2007's Language Barrier, Ghostly has welcomed McIlwain back into the fold for what may be his poppiest album yet. McIlwain's music has previously been known for its cold sheen, mixed with welcoming and warm melodies, but he'll take that one step further when he adds Vilja Larjosto to the mix for vocals on lead single "Two Dots." Only a few other songs on the album, entitled A Certain Distance, feature full-fledged singing, but the sound overall is more open than ever before, and word has it that he's preparing a live show with a vocalist for live dates in the fall in support of the album.
If you can't quite wait to hear him play out, though, you'll have a chance to hear McIlwain on Ghostly's 10th anniversary tour in Brooklyn, Barcelona or Berlin over the next few weeks.
