Mutek goes on tour, announces more performers

- Akufen, Stephen Beaupré and others will play a string of North American dates this month.
- Mutek have announced the second wave of performers for this year's festival in Montreal, as well as details for their North American mini-tour, which kicks off tonight in Manitoba. The biggest names added to Mutek 2010 include Nathan Fake, San Proper and British experimental veteran Nurse With Wound. Polish producer Jacek Sienkiewicz has also been billed, as well as a dozen artists from the Canadian territories, such as Orphx, Mossa and Overcast Sound. The Mutek tour will be headlined by two of the festival's most loyal stalwarts: Akufen and Stephen Beaupré. On their nine date jaunt across North America this month, they'll hit clubs in Canada, Seattle, San Francisco and Chicago, plus Boulder's Communikey Festival and The Bunker in New York. Various DJs and live performers will be joining them along the way for select dates, including Efdemin, Dave Aju and Derek Plaslaiko. Additionally, Mutek have announced specific scheduling for this year's festival, so festivalgoers can see who's playing where and on what day.
