The Chicago house mainstay will headline our night at the Sao Paulo club this Friday night.
Classic boss Derrick Carter will be flying into Brazil this weekend for a set at Sao Paulo nightspot D-Edge.
Although he moved to demystify the idea in a recent interview with RA, Carter is thought of as a leading figure in the second wave of Chicago house producers. His imprint, Classic, which he ran in tandem with UK producer Luke Solomon, was responsible for some 100 12-inch releases in addition to numerous mixes, compilations and albums. Carter may have been a little quieter since the label shut up shop back in 2005, but has maintained a strong international DJing presence. Those at our D-Edge party this Friday can expect bumping Chi Town classics housed next to newer jackers, with Benjamin Ferreira and D-Edge boss Renato Ratier lending their support.
