- The LA beatsmith has a new record due out on Ninja Tune.
Daedelus's next album, Bespoke, will come out this April on Ninja Tune.
Bespoke is an especially fitting title for the LA-based artist, whose productions have always seemed tailor-made to his own strange artistic impulses. Much of his work to date has been hip-hop from far left-field, though he departed from this style a bit on his last release, Righteous Fists of Harmony, a concept EP about China's Boxer Rebellion. Based on the tracklist, Bespoke appears to be similarly conceptual, though this time the theme is wardrobe ("Penny Loafers," "French Cuffs," "Suit Yourself," etc.) The record shows him teaming up with a raft of guest vocalists, including indie hip-hop artist Busdriver, who worked with Daedelus on the 2003 album The Weather. It will be preceded by a single for Tailor-Made, featuring remixes from Floating Points and Tokimonsta.
