- The upcoming compilation features new material by Ron Trent, Raoul K and Jerome Sydneham.
Fatsouls Records will release its first compilation this month, compiled by label founder DJ Said.
Though the label just launched in 2007, Fatsouls have been throwing parties in San Francisco for years. Their style has always been a blend of classic and more contemporary deep house, with a strong vein of dub and afrobeat. This is clear to see on Treasures of Twilight, which includes tracks by old school legends like Jerome Sydneham and Ron Trent, plus West African producer Mr Raoul K. The compilation features mostly new productions, plus a selection from Alton Miller's In & Out EP, which came out on Fatsouls last year, and DJ Said's collaboration with Argy, originally released on Ibadan.
