The Quebecois party series comes to Spain this summer with DJ Koze, James Holden, dOP, DJ Sneak and more.
Piknic Electronik, Montreal's summer daytime party series, is ready to unroll a series of events in Barcelona, beginning on July 8th.
Piknic Electronik Barcelona follows a similar formula to its Quebecois counterpart: daytime parties in a park (Jardins de Joan Brossa) headlined by house and techno artists from around the world. So far the DJ bill includes James Holden, DJ Koze, Masomenos, Ernesto Ferreyra and DJ Sneak, plus local artists like Pablo Bolivar and Sishi Rosch. Live performances will come from Deadbeat, Frivolous, Dave Aju and French acts dOP and Nôze.
Each event will feature two areas: a quieter, kid-friendly area, and a more full-on dance floor for the party people. Food will be served onsite as well. There will be one nighttime event on July 14th at Montjuic de Nit, plus a closing party on September 23rd. Details on those two are still TBA.
