Morphosis, Kassem Mosse and John Talabot are among those confirmed for the two-part festival this weekend.
Les Siestes Electroniques 2012 will take place this weekend in Paris and Toulouse.
The Toulouse portion of the festival has already been underway since last night, and will continue tonight with John Talabot, Pional, Elektro Guzzi and others at Gymnasium of Deodat De Severac High School, a high school gymnasium done up with balloons and "crepe-paper roses" (the party is fittingly titled Prom Night). Saturday's event is happening at Jardin Compans-Caffarelli with leftfield house and techno artists Morphosis and Kassem Mosse, plus Matthew Friedberger of Fiery Furnaces, drone duo Saåad and James Blackshaw.
On Sunday the bill is split between the two cities. In Tolouse, Luke Abbott will headline an event at Jardin Compans-Caffarelli. In Paris, sound artist Keith Fullerton Whitman tops the bill at Musée du Quai Branly as part of the festival's project that allows the artists to draw from the museum's "mediatheque catalogue" for source material. Entry to that part of the festival is free.
