Nord has released the second version of its Beat step sequencer app.
Beat 2 isn't the first iPad step sequencer we've reported on this week, but Nord's updated app brings plenty to the table. With six tracks, it's been optimized to work with Nord's recently unveiled Drum 2 percussion synth and its accompanying Pad controller. Beat 2 provides added MIDI functionality, with new output routing and MIDI clock sync now included. It provides new pattern options—flam, 32nd notes and 32nd triplets. And you'll also have the option to save program changes to load up later. The icing on the cake is that Beat 2 is currently being offered as a free download.
