Skream, Levon Vincent, dOP and many more will appear at this season's series of outdoor events.
Montreal institution Igloofest is preparing for its eighth season of outdoor events.
Once again, Igloofest will take over the Jacques-Cartier Quay in the Port of Old Montreal for four weekends, drawing partygoers outside in the middle of winter with a range of local and international talent. Opening Night will happen on Thursday, January 16th, with Detroit veteran Kenny Larkin and Canadian hotshots Art Department among the first DJs called on to brave the elements behind the decks. The following night will feature DJ sets from Âme and Ghostly International favorite Matthew Dear, while two UK selectors, Breach and Skream, will appear on Saturday the 18th.
Highlights across the other three weekends include UK icon Pete Tong, Dirtybird's Claude VonStroke and Justin Martin (those two will play a back-to-back set), Novel Sound boss Levon Vincent, Hotflush honcho Scuba and charismatic French trio dOP. And as usual, Igloofest has enlisted a couple heavy-hitting techno DJs to close out the season—this year, Drumcode head Adam Beyer and labelmate Ida Engberg will have the honors on Saturday, February 8th.
