- The Tri Angle artist will release his debut album in June.
Metal musician James Kelly will release his first LP as WIFE on June 10th.
The Irish artist was the mastermind (and voice) behind now-defunct black metal outfit Altar Of Plagues, who released several albums showing off a folky, often melodic take on the genre. He debuted WIFE back in 2012 with a 12-inch on Left Blank, which RA's Philip Sherburne said "hovers in the space between dusky bass music, ambient and indie songcraft." What's Between, coming through Tri Angle, is the project's fullest release yet, and according to FACT it's "a surprisingly light-hearted affair, anchored to Kelly’s haunting vocals." Denizens of dark electronics Roly Porter and Haxan Cloak lent their production hands to the album, and you can stream first taster "Heart Is A Far Light" below.
