After a 20-year run, one of the city's longest-running venues is set to close.
Berlin's Cookies club will host its last party on July 19th.
Cookies has been a staple of Berlin nightlife since 1994. For the past seven years it's been located on the corner of Friedrichstrasse and Unter Den Linden, a well-to-do address in Berlin clubbing terms. It's long stood apart from the city's other party options—its busiest nights have traditionally been Tuesdays and Thursdays, and it has an in-house vegetarian restaurant called Cookies Cream.
A series of "Last Dance" events in June and July will see the club go out with a bang. Highlights include Ewan Pearson (June 24th), Intergalactic Gary (June 26th), Anja Schneider (July 1st), DJ Kaos and DJ Hell (July 3rd), Jazzanova (July 5th), Ben Klock—who used to be a resident at Cookies—and John Osborn (July 8th), and Oskar Offermann and Edward (July 15th). The series will culminate with a final send-off on Saturday, July 19th, with Dixon on headline duties.
The club has put together a video to promote the Last Dance events, which you can watch below:
