The Los Angeles party will field lineups at Los Globos and the Pacific Festival over the next couple weeks.
A Club Called Rhonda will throw several parties across Southern California in August with the likes of Lil' Louis and Giorgio Moroder.
First up, on Friday, August 8th, they'll host Lil' Louis, whose appearance
caps a string of bookings which look back to house music's Chicago roots. (The party has hosted Farley Jackmaster, DJ Funk and Parris Mitchell in recent months.) The bill also includes dexterous Stones Throw affiliated DJ J Rocc, UK jock Sinden and Rhonda regulars Goddollars and Paradise.
On August 16th the crew travels to Orange County to take part in the Pacific Festival. The party's stage will be headlined by pop-leaning acts Moon Boots and Bag Raiders. Juan Maclean collaborator Nancy Whang and Sam Sparro will also appear under the Rhonda banner, as will fellow DFA affiliates Holy Ghost! and relaxed LA dance group Poolside.
Following the festival, Rhonda will take things indoors to nearby venue The Observatory, where Giorgio Moroder is scheduled to spin the official afterparty. The disco legend also played Rhonda's WMC event and has experienced a timely revival, along with fellow party regular Todd Edwards, thanks in part to his work on Daft Punk's Random Access Memories.
