- The album is the first in a new series that presents music originally scored for use in film or TV.
Burnt Friedman has compiled the first edition of Nonplace Soundtracks, due out on January 30th.
The new concept collects music that was originally written and edited for film and TV, or otherwise meant for "being used in conjunction with moving images." All of the tracks on Nonplace Soundtracks, Scenes 1-25 involve Friedman or Hayden Chisholm (as part of The Embassadors), as well as a handful of appearances from guitarist Joseph Suchy. The label promises "a dense, seamless mix of 25 short cinematic scenes," which vary from ambient to more percussion-oriented material. Clips are available on the Nonplace website.
