The Windy City crew has lined up its next two underground events, one this weekend and the other in March.
Chicago collective Tied has two parties on the calendar over the next month and a half.
Tied, who turned three (and launched a label) late last year, will first host a secretly-located showcase of the Berlin-based vinyl imprint Finest Hour this Saturday. Finest Hour co-founder Onirik and affiliate Robin Ordell, whose FH:04 EP was released last fall, will fly in for the occasion. Local support will come from resident Max Jacobson.
On Saturday, March 19th, at another secret spot, Tied will welcome Scissor & Thread man Francis Harris, who back in November teamed up with Gabe Hedrick for a collaborative LP as Aris Kindt. Harris has been recruited for an all-night set at this one, his first Chicago gig since 2013.
Tied's resident trio of Jacobson, Mantas Steles and Ari Frank will also hit Brooklyn next Friday for a night in Verboten's Cabaret Lounge. Joining them on the lineup is Verboten resident Hernan Sanchez, a Chicagoan and Tied friend now living in New York.
