Ron Trent and Marcellus Pittman will also appear at the Discogs and Grimy events, which happen in Portland and Berlin.
The next round of Crate Diggers record fairs have been announced.
The gatherings align around a simple concept—a daytime record fair followed by a free nighttime gig with notable DJs playing vinyl. Crate Diggers, a joint venture between online record giant Discogs and the LA-based label and apparel company Grimy!, has managed to lock down some marquee names over its short run, with appearances from Dâm-Funk and Mike Huckaby as well as a memorable party with Theo Parrish and Marcellus Pittman in downtown LA.
On August 27th, Crate Diggers returns to the White Owl Social Club in Portland. This time, NYC legend Danny Krivit is on headlining duties. The NYC staple has been focusing on all-45 sets lately, and he'll be joined by Ron Trent. The Berlin show goes down September 24th at Prince Charles, and brings together the Three Chairs members Parrish and Pittman once again. Uzuri boss Lakuti and Chicago jock Jamie 3:26 will also get in the mix at that one. Grimy! head Zernell, who is organizing both events, spins in both Portland and Berlin.
