- Eric Dulan's first record under the alias will come out via Don't Be Afraid in February of 2017.
Eric Dulan, AKA DJ Bone, will release his debut album as Differ-Ent in early 2017.
In the text that accompanied 2015's RA podcast, the Detroit techno artist described Differ-Ent as "the other side of Bone's Gemini being... darker, more aggressive and straight to the point but still manages to remain beautiful in a very twisted way." The ten-track LP, titled It's Good To Be Differ-Ent, will be his third outing under the alias, following two EPs on Don't Be Afraid. Semtek's label will also handle the album, which lands digitally and as a triple-pack LP in February. According to Dulan, it'll touch on electro and sounds less suited to the dance floor, as well as techno.
"The process for Differ-Ent... it's kinda methodical," he said. "It's borderline predictable. But the thing that makes it different is that it could go any which way at any given time. And it can be harder edged usually, or it can go in a soundtrack direction."
