The Chicago club's female and non-binary focused series includes appearances from Elysia Crampton, K-HAND and The Black Madonna.
Chicago's smartbar is bringing back Daphne: A Women's Movement In Dance Music this March.
Daphne, which celebrates female and non-binary artists' role in shaping the world of electronic music, first happened in March 2015. (March is Women's History Month.) After a shorter run of events last year, the series will return in full force in a little over a month.
The first event, on Friday, March 3rd, will feature Virginia experimental producer Elysia Crampton, whose 2016 LP Demon City drew high marks here on RA. The following Saturday evening has London-based Jackathon boss Heidi headlining.
Looking further ahead, Daphne's out-of-town guests, according to a flier posted to Facebook, will include Nina Kraviz, K-HAND, Cassy, Jane Fitz, Volvox, Lady Blacktronika and Octo Octa.
Club residents The Black Madonna, Eris Drew, Sassmouth and DJ Heather are also confirmed, along with fellow Windy City locals Kiddo, La Spacer and MTZ.
