  • A collaborative LP from Phillip Sollmann, AKA Efdemin, and John Gürtler, titled Gegen Die Zeit, is due out in October through Sky Walking. Gegen Die Zeit—the title is German for "Against Time"—is a three-track, nearly 40-minute experimental LP with the two artists credited as Sollmann & Gürtler. It sees Sollmann playing a ring-modulated electric guitar, while Gürtler, a multi-instrumentalist and award-winning film score composer, utilizes reed instruments and "a cluster of electronic filters and devices." The album was born out of a September 2015 performance the duo gave underneath a highway bridge in Offenbach, as part of a concert series called Rotor—its first two tracks were recorded at that event. Previously, Gürtler had reworked a track from Sollmann's 2014 album as Efdemin, Decay. Sky Walking, the label and production project run by Christian Naujoks, Peter Kersten (AKA Lawrence) and Richard von der Schulenburg (RVDS), says Gegen Die Zeit launches a series of records "focused on spontaneous music and live recordings." Tracklist A Gegen Die Zeit Part I B1 Gegen Die Zeit Part II B2 Zeitgeist Sky Walking will release Gegen Die Zeit on October 13th, 2017.
