- The Swiss producer's next LP includes a track with Derrick May on vocals.
Mirko Loko is launching a new label, Comet Traxx, with a new album, Twin Bang.
Twin Bang will be the third album for Loko, and the first away from Luciano's Cadenza imprint, after 2009's Seventynine and 2015's Comet Plan. (He's also known for releases on Visionquest and Memento.) It's made up of eight floor-focused tracks, with one of them, "Mentors Heritage," featuring Derrick May on vocals. French/Italian duo Moody Preachers and Ursula Rucker, a singer and poet from Philadelphia, also make appearances.
The album comes out on vinyl on September 5th—and digital formats three weeks later—through Comet Traxx, which Loko has set up as a home for "cosmic grooves" from himself and both seasoned producers and newcomers. Guido Schneider, the German artist who's released on labels like Cadenza, Cocoon and Poker Flat, is taking care of the label's second release. Details of that one are still TBA.
