John Talabot, A Guy Called Gerald and Moritz Von Oswald will also appear at the Sydney Opera House this May.
The Sydney Opera House has revealed its Vivid LIVE programme for 2019.
The annual winter festival of light, music and ideas will be returning for its eleventh year, with the Opera House once again presenting a broad range of bookings from May 24th to June 11th. On the electronic tip, Club Kooky and Mad Racket will be hosting Harbourside events on the Northern Boardwalk, the latter with Larry Heard and Robert Owens on the opening weekend. Downstairs in The Studio, nights will be held with Laurel Halo and Park Hye Jin, Moritz von Oswald, A Guy Called Gerald and John Talabot.
Oregon-based ambient artist Grouper will play four headline sets in the Utzon Room across two evenings, while Alabama-born improviser Lonnie Holley is down for two. Underworld have four dates lined up in the Concert Hall, with Herbie Hancock and Sigur Ros's Jónsi also appearing in there over the final weekend. The remainder of the lineup includes The Cure, Kelsey Lu and a Spunk Records 20th anniversary celebration.
Away from the Opera House, FKA twigs will perform at Carriageworks on June 9th as part of the wider Vivid Sydney programme. Information on the vast number of Vivid-related events taking place at venues around the city is still to come.
