- The Canadian artist's first solo release since 2017 will hit the shelves in July.
Antwood will release his third album through Planet Mu.
Delphi, out on July 19th, is based around—and named after—a fictional female character created by the Canadian artist, real name Tristan Douglas, and his girlfriend, Olivia Dreisinger. The character is represented throughout the record by a recurring melody. The LP, Douglas's first solo release since 2017's Sponsored Content, spans 13 tracks.
"Olivia and I started making the album cover as soon as I knew what direction Delphi was headed in," says Douglas. "I took objects that had significance to me at the time of production and physically recreated them as 'Delphi world' objects, so that the album's narrative and each track is represented in the cover photo. If you flip the album over, there is a computer rendering by Paulin Rogues of the two landmarks in the ancient city of Delphi—not quite ancient or modern Delphi, somehow real life but also fantastical."
Listen to "Castalian Fountain."
