- The Portland band appears to have moved on from long-teased LP, Dear Tommy.
Chromatics are releasing a new album—their first in seven years—tomorrow via Italians Do It Better.
Closer To Grey spans 12 tracks and is named after a 2014 song by band member and label head Johnny Jewel—also included on the LP.
Not much is known about the album at this time, though it appears to have replaced or further delayed Chromatics' long-teased LP, Dear Tommy. The Portland band's last full-length of new, original material was 2012's Kill For Love. In the interim, they've released reissues, EPs and other collections, including last year's eight-track, vinyl-only record, Camera.
