  • Bristol-based independent radio station Noods is starting a mentorship initiative called Levels. With Levels, Noods aims "to provide spaces and opportunities for young people aged between 18–30 that are based in the South West of England to develop their skills through educational programmes, one-to-one mentoring and pastoral support from established artists." The first course, Radio Production / Broadcasting, is a collaboration with fellow Bristol organisation Saffron. Led by Noods residents Manami and Tilly, it'll focus on women and non-binary people, running for eight weeks from June through August. At the end of the course, the eight participants will have the chance to present a one-hour show on Noods. Founded in Bristol in 2015, Saffron is a non-profit initiative that works to redress the gender imbalance in music tech spaces. Details on future Levels courses are still TBA, but there are plans for an alumni board to keep participants involved beyond their stint in the programme. Apply to the radio production course here.
