Pan Daijing is releasing a four-part audio excerpt from her 2019 Tate Modern show, Tissues.
Out January 22nd via PAN, the full-length, also titled Tissues, was first heard as part of the artist's immersive, multi-sensory installation at The Tanks in London. Composed, directed and performed by Daijing, the show also included 12 dancers and opera singers.
You can hear a counter-tenor, a soprano, a mezzo-soprano—plus samples of speeches, chanting and Daijing's own voice—on the new LP. Daijing also contributes experimental electronics.
Earlier this year, the Chinese artist released her second album, Jade 玉观音, via PAN.
