The Chemical Brothers are one of the biggest drawcards in electronic music with enormous crossover appeal. They headline wherever they play, and have done so for years now, so how come whenever they play London's Fabric they turn their noses up at the main room? Won’t they think of the ribcages of their poor crushed fans?
No matter how hard the Fabric crew explain the benefits of the main space, Room Two clearly holds a special appeal to the Chems. It seems they like it dark and dirty: "Room Two at Fabric is smaller, more intense, you can't see anything. It's good for dancing, we can play loud in there...and there's no balcony of chin strokers.”
Joining the veteran blockrockers in Room Two is French techno-rock wunderkind Vitalic playing a live set, Metronomy, and DJ sets by the Micronauts and Mekon.
Relief in Room One will be provided by electro-rockers Jackson & His Computer Band, Digitalism and Simian Mobile Disco, but expect a night of guitar-heavy electronic goodness wherever ye may wander.
