The team didn't provide a specific reason for the cancellation but simply referred to changing dynamics in the music festival business. Pitchfork has said it will still continue hosting events in 2025 and beyond.
Launched in 2005, the beloved Chicago gathering has become a pillar of the city's arts scene over the decades thanks to its diverse lineups of pop, rock, jazz, electronic and hip-hop acts. Pitchfork also runs festivals in Paris, Berlin, London and Mexico City.
