- Effective house music for every house DJ.
- The new Australian artist Destiny71z debuts on Alex Nut's Eglo Records with a collection of hardware house jams. The analog gear—"a Buchla Music Easel, Buchla 200e System, Various Eurorack Modular Synths, drum machines and synthesizers"—is put to use in a variety of ways, resulting in four distinct tracks.
"Softbeta" is a twitchy, stripped-back electro track for opening your set or using as a bridge between tunes. The rowdier "Destiny71z" is like S-Max playing around with a squelchy bassline. "Sinescannerz" is my pick, beginning as pensive electro but transforming into something more driving halfway through. EP1 is a solid debut. There are no real classics, but if you enjoy listening to or playing out house music, you'll find something you like.
