  • DJ Haus's Unknown to the Unknown label likes dance music raw. Lately, however, he's been working with producers associated with the new wave of minimal—think ILyes, Nemo Vachez and Bakked—pushing them to sharpen the harder edge of their sounds. Case in point is "Extreme Meltdown" from Desert Sound Colony. Like the name suggests, this is techno on the edge of entropy. Detuned and scissor-sharp synths whip over electro drums before a Nicolas Lutz-style acid line takes the whole thing by storm. It's the darkest track Wachs has ever made, and it's also one of his best.
